ONLY THE BEST was started in 1999 by Mr JC Engelbrecht.  At that time, the main business was selling Simply the best Maize Meal to small and large shops all over Vaal Triangle. As business grew our milling plant was upgraded to a point where we started supplying maize meal for export purposes to countries in Africa as well as New Zealand. Simply the best maize meal changed into Only the Best- The Lion.

After expanding the maize meal range, ONLY THE  BEST started a new line of yellow maize products. (Whole yellow maize, Crushed maize, Mixed Fowl Food, Chic chic, as well as “geel Meel”) We added a variety of retailers and wholesalers to our customer base.

We committed to sell our range of products at DE DEUR AUCTION every saturday as well as HERSA AUCTION, Wednesdays and Saturdays. As our customers enquired about animal feeds we decided to test a range of feeds at our own small scale feedlot (Cattle and Lamb) in 2009, manufacturing our own house brand feed for these animals. After some trial and error we were finally satisfied with our feed range and MEGA VOERE was born in 2015.

All our products are available at our factory shop on our premises. We stock all our own brand products as well as Telwiedre Feeds. We have a wide range of Dog food, Cat food and bird seeds. Please come by and see for yourself.
